Fish and Chicks 19 February 2022
Covid couldn’t stop us this time and by following the “Red Rules” we were able to hold the Fish and Chicks with restrictions. We had to limit the number of tickets this year to 60 to enable us to ensure that we had less than 100 people in the club for prizegiving.
It was a perfect fishing day, slightly overcast with very little wind so it meant everyone was able to fish and “hydrate” themselves without getting too sunburnt!
A total of 220.9kg of fish were weighed in on the day with 178.5kg of that being Snapper. Only two Kingfish were caught and no John Dory this time. Heaviest “other” was a Gurnard. See full results below.
Thanks SO MUCH to all our sponsors, without you we wouldn’t have such a wide variety of prizes to give away. Please do support our sponsors when you can. Shop Local!
A big thanks to John Lee and Gail for manning the bar on prizegiving night, to the staff at Sunkist Bar and Kitchen for the catering, to Aunti for being MC on Friday and Saturday and to Rob, Steve and Ross for helping with weigh-in. We couldn’t do it without your help!
Until next time – “Tight Lines”
