Get into the ‘Run What Ur Brung’ BBC Dinghy Race, taking place on Saturday the 16th March 2024.

Based from Sunkist Bay, Earling Cresent Beachlands, our volunteer Club Members bring you a fun day on the water.

This event is open to the public and club members alike!

Registration: 11am Downstairs Desk of the Club Rooms.

Scrutineering (Compulsory): 11am Club Rooms Car Park.

Briefing (Compulsory): 11.30am Sharp, Upstairs BBC Club Rooms.

Entry fees: $20.00 per boat

– Sailing & Kayaks 11.30am

– First Race 2hp Class 12.30pm

– Second Race 3.3hp

Class 1.00pm

– Third Race 5.0hp Class 1.30pm

– Sailing & Kayaks 2.00pm

Prize Giving, 6.30pm – Cash bar open 5.30pm till late, Food & Refreshments Available.

*****RULES*****

 

· The registration fee for each Dinghy entry per race is $20.00.

· Registration on or before 11.30am the 16th March 2024.

· Drivers Briefing is compulsory, 11.00am Saturday 16th.

· All entrants must brin

g their signed forms to briefing.

· Boat numbers will be allocated at briefing, all entrants must display their number on the sides of the boat. (Duct Tape Available)

· Dinghys must be min 2m length for 2hp, min 2.2m length for 3.3hp, min 2.4m length for 5hp dinghy’s.

· Each dinghy must carry the following safety equipment:

1x life jacket for each crew member, which must be warn while operating the dinghy.

1x bucket or bailer

1x tow rope min 4m long.

1x engine kill switch & cord.

· Each driver and cre

w member must sign the Dinghy Race waiver and release.

· Each boat owner must have personal Insurance for their boat & equipment.

· There will be many other boats not part of the event, please respect them and comply with the local maritime rules.

· Boats will be divided into two groups for each class (skipper) or (crew +1 adult skipper)

· All boats should carry sufficient fuel for the event + 10% as a safety margin.

· All decisions from the jud

ges are final.

· Remember that this event is for fun. There are no prizes for speed.

· No eggs, No flour bombs or other missiles are acceptable and will result in instant disqualification. (with the exception of biodegradable water balloons).
